Dr. Jeff Seakan, PT, DPT, ATC, OCS, CMTPT-DN, TPI-C
Owner, Physical Therapist

Dr. Jeff founded Doc Phytness with a simple belief: strength is the foundation of longevity, independence, and performance at every stage of life.

For over a decade, Dr. Jeff worked as a traditional physical therapist, treating individuals of all ages and activity levels—from post-surgical patients to weekend warriors, competitive athletes, and active older adults. He also worked extensively with high school, collegiate, and professional athletes, as well as Senior Olympians.

Dr. Jeff began to notice a gap in healthcare. Too often, people were told to slow down, avoid activity, or simply manage pain. He believed there was a better way. Instead of limiting people, he wanted to help them build capacity.

As a Doctor of Physical Therapy, Certified Athletic Trainer, and Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, Dr. Jeff combines clinical expertise with performance training principles. His approach bridges rehabilitation and strength development—helping active adults and athletes not just recover from injury, but become more resilient than they were before.

Through his certification with the Titleist Performance Institute, Dr. Jeff also specializes in helping golfers improve mobility, power, and efficiency so they can play longer and stronger without pain.

Doc Phytness was built for individuals who refuse to accept decline as inevitable. Whether it’s maintaining independence as we age, returning to sport after injury, or optimizing performance on the course or in the gym, Dr. Jeff’s mission is to help people train for life—not just rehab from setbacks.

A Central NY native and former collegiate hockey player, Dr. Jeff earned his degree in Athletic Training from SUNY Cortland and his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Stony Brook University. He now lives in Lewes with his wife and three children.
